Hag Of The Mist Soap Mary's Tears
Mary’s Tears marks the turning of the year, when orchards and hedgerows become heavy with our native apples and blackberries, and walled gardens and glasshouses brim with a more exotic harvest of citrus, peaches, figs and grapes. All the while, the familiar cottage-garden annual, Calendula officinalis, continues to bloom in bright yellow and orange, lingering through late summer and into early autumn.
Rich in plant lore, calendula has many names: Mary’s Gold, for its colour and association with the Virgin Mary; and Solis Sponsa, “Bride of the Sun”, for the way its flowers open with the morning light and close again as day fades. Even its Latin name is linked to the word calendae, meaning the first day of the month—another reference to the plant as a seasonal marker, heralding the transition from one season to the next.
Organic Goat Milk
Rich in nourishing fats and gently exfoliating lactic acid.
Olive Oil, Shea Butter & Honey
Make for a milder, more conditioning bar of soap with a rich, lotion-like lather.
Coconut & Castor Oils
For big, fluffy bubbles.
Beeswax
Strengthens the soap, giving it lasting structure and resilience during use
